I’m Choice Suffering. I’m a 25 year old musician and producer from the Midwest. Music has been the one thing I keep coming back to. Through every version of myself, every good year, every bad one, every time I’ve had no idea what I was doing with my life - I’ve made music. I write about the things that are hard to explain anywhere else. Doubt, ambition, loneliness, addiction, love, failure, purpose, and the constant fight to become something more than what you were yesterday. I don’t make music because I think I have everything figured out. Most of the time, it’s the opposite. I make it because creating something out of all of that noise gives it somewhere to go. And somewhere along the way, this stopped being just about me. I want to make something that lasts. Something another person can find on a night when they feel completely alone and hear a piece of themselves in it. Something that might make somebody want to create, keep going, or give themselves one more night. I’ve spent years learning how to produce, write, record, play, mix, and turn the things in my head into something other people can actually hear. I’m still learning. I hope I always am. Choice Suffering is what I’m building from all of it. I don’t know exactly where this takes me. I just know I care enough about it to find out. No halos, only wings.
